1. The name of the Club shall be WHITELEAF DOG TRAINING CLUB
2. The Aims of the Club shall be to promote the training of any dog from elementary to advanced obedience
3. The administration of the Club’s affairs shall be under the management and absolute control of the Committee. The committee is held responsible for the Club’s possessions.
4. The Commitee:shall consist of up to six members and the Chief Instructor who shall be an ex-officio member and enjoy full rights thereon.shall appoint a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer from amongst its’ members.The quorum for any Committee meeting shall be two members present throughout the meeting.may delegate their powers to Sub-Committees as an when they deem necessary, provided at least one member of the Committee is actively involved.shall meet not less than two times in any one year.Vacancies occurring on the Committee during the year of office shall be filled by members nominated by the Committee and shall enjoy full rights as a Committee member thereon. In the event of dissension a two-thirds majority shall applyClub members may attend Committee meetings (one person per meeting) and may contribute to the discussion but may not vote.
5. MembershipMembership shall be open to all persons interested in furthering the aims of the club.The admission of new members shall be vested in the Committee, who will be responsible to see that the provisions of rule 10 are strictly adhered to.Two classes of membership shall apply:- ADULT & JUNIOR (under 16 years old)
6. SubscriptionsThe financial year shall commence on 1st February and shall end on 31st January of the following year.The annual subscription shall be decided upon each year and increases shall be notified to the members not less that 3 months prior to the new year. New members and Juniors reaching their 16th birthday with six months or more of the financial year to run will be charged this subscription. If under six months but over three months the amount will be fifty per cent of this figure and thereafter no subscription will be charged. Junior members shall not be required to pay an annual subscriptionAll members will be charged the current weekly fees.The payment of a subscription or fee implies agreement to honour the Rules of the Club.
7. ResignationWhilst a member may resign from the Club at any time, they shall still be liable for all subscriptions or other charges due at the time of resignation. No refund of subscription will normally be entertained.The Committee shall be called upon to investigate any complaint of conduct prejudicial to the best interests of the Club and to take such actions as may be deemed necessary.
8. The Instructor at any session shall be in sole charge and shall be empowered to exclude any dog or handler at his or her discretion.
9. InoculationAll dogs shall be inoculated in accordance with current Veterinary recommendations.Members must provide an inoculation certificate when asked to do so by a member of the Committee. Thereafter, until such a certificate has been produced and approved by a Committee member, no attendance at club functions will be permitted.
10. The Organisation of competitions amongst members and outside bodies shall be at the discretion of the Committee.
